Sustainability

We take responsibility for our impact on climate, environment and society.

As a major player in Norwegian building materials trade, we affect the climate daily through transport, warehousing and our product portfolio. We work systematically to reduce this footprint — and to help customers and suppliers do the same.

Transport and routes

We optimise routes and consolidate shipments to reduce empty runs and CO₂ emissions per delivery. Targeting an electric and biogas fleet by 2030.

Warehousing and energy

LED lighting, smart energy management and rooftop solar panels. We map energy consumption and report against Mestergruppen's group targets.

Assortment and compliance

Only centrally negotiated products are shown in our online ordering — ensuring quality requirements, EU REACH compliance and responsible sourcing.

Packaging

We work with suppliers to reduce unnecessary packaging, increase the share of recyclable materials and eliminate single-use plastic in distribution.

Social responsibility

All suppliers undergo ethical auditing. We set requirements for working conditions, child labour and supply chain responsibility in line with the Norwegian Transparency Act.

Reporting

We report climate accounts and sustainability indicators in line with Mestergruppen's group report and ESG requirements from 2025.
